At the conclusion of this module, participants will be able to: 1. describe the role of hand hygiene in breaking the chain of infection; 2. identify appropriate hand hygiene methods, products, and indications; 3. incorporate hand hygiene practices into their infection prevention and control program; and 4. identify resources to educate residents and visitors about the importance of hand hygiene.
