AHRQ recognizes various health observances each year to honor the Nation’s rich diversity and highlight Agency efforts to address disparities in health and healthcare faced by underserved individuals and communities. As part of these observances, AHRQ identifies specific programs, research activities, tools and resources aimed at improving healthcare quality and advancing equity for these diverse groups.
Mental Health Awareness Month

National Minority Health Month

AHRQ joins the Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of Minority Health in highlighting National Minority Health Month 2022. This year’s theme, “Give Your Community a Boost!,” focuses on the continued importance of COVID-19 vaccination, including boosters, as one of the strongest tools we have to end the COVID-19 pandemic that has disproportionately affected communities of color.
