Resource: Introduction to Evidence-Based Practice
This online tutorial introduces health care professionals and others to the principles of evidence-based practice that uses the current best evidence combined with clinical expertise and patient values and preferences to guide care decisions. The tutorial consists of five major units and includes case studies and worksheets. This resource can help practices find and evaluate evidence related to specific clinical problems, part of Key Driver 1: Seek, select, and customize the best evidence for use by the practice. It also is a useful resource for practice leaders that are encouraging learning about evidence, a change strategy under Key Driver 6: Nurture leadership and create a culture of continuous learning and evidence-based practice.
