In accordance with Key Driver 3: Optimize health information systems to extract data and support use of evidence in practice, Appendix B of this implementation guide provides a short explanation of how an electronic health record (EHR) makes assigning individual patients to specific clinicians easier. It describes how the EHR can support making provider assignments, appointment scheduling, and panel management reports.
