The North Texas Primary Care Practice-Based Research Network (NorTex) was established in 2005 and is housed within the Department of Family Medicine, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, University of NorTexas Health Science Center. NorTex is comprised of approximately 250 clinicians at 104 clinics. It includes primary care outpatient clinics affiliated with an academic institution, two county hospital systems, a pediatrics hospital system, and over 40 private practices. Specifically, we conduct primary care and public health research to improve the delivery of care and improve the health of our community.
