This module provides an overview of infection prevention and control programs and how to implement an infection prevention and control program at a long-term care facility. At the conclusion of this module, the participant will be able to: 1. define the purpose of an infection prevention and control program, 2. identify core activities of an infection prevention and control program, 3. develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures, and 4. establish a process for developing a facility infection prevention and control risk assessment.
