This module describes how infection prevention and control program activities can be integrated into an existing Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program. At the conclusion of this module, the participant will be able to: 1. define Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement , 2. demonstrate how infection and prevention control fits within the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program, 3. describe how the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee supports the infection prevention and control program, and 4. discuss how to implement infection and prevention control performance improvement projects within Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs.
