Harold A. Pincus, M.D., is professor and vice chair of the Department of Psychiatry and co-director of the Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research at Columbia University. Dr. Pincus is also a senior scientist at the RAND Corporation and National Director of the Health and Aging Policy Fellowship.
Appointed to the editorial boards of 12 scientific journals, Dr. Pincus has published more than 500 scientific publications on health services research, science policy research, career development, and the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. He has led national and international committees on healthcare quality measures, translational science evaluation, the World Health Organization’s International Classification of Diseases, 11th Revision, and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV.
