Sharon Weidner Hickman, M.B.A., CPHQ, CPPS, MCPC, LSSMBB, is a healthcare executive with a demonstrated track record of achievement in strategic development, performance/operational improvement, patient experience, quality, safety, change management, improvement science, training and development, clinical transformation, and implementation. She has worked with both for-profit and non-profit systems, including one of the largest hospital companies in the country. Her experience spreads across all aspects of care, including clinical and nonclinical areas, as well as various healthcare settings. Ms. Hickman is known for her balanced approach to achieving financial and operational success while also fostering a high-quality, safe environment to ensure satisfaction with consumers of the healthcare system and employees.
Ms. Hickman leverages strong communication skills to motivate teams, build relationships, and promote innovative thinking. She is well-versed in facilitating multidisciplinary teams in all areas including strategic development, root cause analysis, and improvement activities. She has a passion for strategic program development and partnering with clients to solve complex business problems while developing a skillset that will help them continue their journey.
Ms. Hickman is a Lean Six Sigma Master black belt with a bachelor's in industrial and systems engineering from Auburn University and a master's in business administration in healthcare management from Western Governor's University. She is a certified professional in patient safety, in healthcare quality, and a master certified professional coach.
