Diagnostic safety events are common and pervasive across all healthcare settings. AHRQ has developed several resources to improve diagnostic safety: Calibrate Dx, Measure Dx, and the Toolkit for Engaging Patients in Diagnostic Safety.
The AHRQ-funded Implementing Diagnostic Excellence Across Systems (IDEAS) project is recruiting healthcare organizations to use and evaluate one or more of these resources. Participating organizations will receive support and training to implement sustainable improvement. Continuing education credits and American Board of Medical Specialties Maintenance of Certification points are available.
