AHRQ National Advisory Council to Meet Virtually on March 6

The National Advisory Council (NAC) for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) will convene online on Monday, March 6, 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. E.T. The council, which consists of 21 members from the private sector and 7 ex-officio members from other Federal health agencies, provides advice to the secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the director of the Agency.
The meeting will feature several presentations, including:
- Discussion of Recent AHRQ Accomplishments, Robert Otto Valdez, Ph.D., M.H.S.A., Director, AHRQ.
- Discussion of AHRQ’s Patient Safety Framework and the Patient Safety Action Alliance, Erin Grace, M.H.A., Acting Director, Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, AHRQ, and David Meyers, M.D., Deputy Director for Policy and Strategic Initiatives, AHRQ.
- Discussion of Long COVID and Addressing Health System Fragmentation, Mattie Smith, R.N., M.S.N., Long COVID Patient Advocate, and Robin M. Weinick, Ph.D., Technical Report Writer, Long COVID Summit Resonant, LLC.

The meeting is open to the public. If you would like to make a public comment during the AHRQ NAC Meeting, please email NationalAdvisoryCouncil@ahrq.hhs.gov no later than 1:00 p.m. E.T. on March 6. The time allotted for public comments is 2:30-2:45 p.m.
