AHRQ National Advisory Council to Meet Virtually on November 17

The National Advisory Council (NAC) for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) will convene online on Thursday, November 17, 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. E.T. The council, which consists of 21 members from the private sector and 7 ex-officio members from other Federal health agencies, provides advice to the secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the director of the Agency.
The meeting will feature several presentations, including:
- Discussion of Recent AHRQ Accomplishments,
Robert Otto Valdez, Ph.D., M.H.S.A., Director, AHRQ. - Discussion of AHRQ Efforts to Support HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra and the Department in Recommitting to Advancing Patient Safety,
Erin Grace, M.H.A., Acting Director, Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, AHRQ. - Discussion of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Trust Fund Subcommittee,
Karin Rhodes, M.D., M.S., Chief Implementation Officer, AHRQ; and Kristen Dillon, M.D., Subject Matter Expert and Subcommittee Chair for AHRQ Subcommittee of the National Advisory Council on Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Trust Fund Investments and Principal Consultant, Policy and Strategy, Alder Canyon LLC.
