Technical Expert Panels
The Technical Expert Panels (TEP) were created to identify data elements important for care for people with Long COVID, type 2 diabetes, chronic pain and opioid use, cardiovascular diseases, and chronic kidney disease—especially in the context of multiple chronic conditions, as well as data elements that are important from the perspective of the caregiver. The TEPs also evaluated data standards (i.e., value sets, HL7 FHIR profiles) proposed to support the exchange of these data elements. Results and feedback from the TEPs enabled development, revision, and enhancement of the clinician- and patient/caregiver-facing eCare Plan apps and the eCare Plan HL7 FHIR implementation guide.
