As part of the life cycle of a quality measurement approach, a 2013 Subcommittee on Quality Measures for Children's Healthcare (SNAC) used information provided by AHRQ, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and the CHIPRA Coordinating and Technical Assistance Center (CCTAC) to respond to CMS's need for recommendations for retirement of measures.
