PQMP 2.0 Centers of Excellence
In October 2016, the Pediatric Quality Measures Program (PQMP) embarked on a new phase of work seeking to improve and refine quality measures that were developed across diverse areas during the initial phase of the PQMP.
In accordance with Title III, Sec. 304(b) of the Medicare Access & CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA, Public Law 114-10) (PDF, 314 KB), the continued PQMP efforts build knowledge and evidence to support performance monitoring and quality improvement (QI) for children in Medicaid/CHIP by:
- Increasing the number of new measures being implemented and reported at multiple levels (State, health plan, and provider) in key gap areas;
- Informing efforts to streamline data collection and reporting processes; and
- Supporting States to drive improvement in healthcare quality using the Child Core Measures and the PQMP-COE measures.
In order to achieve the objectives outlined above, AHRQ and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services awarded 4-year cooperative research grants to the following six PQMP grantees:
