Mini-Session Training Content

If you teach aspects of TeamSTEPPS in even shorter formats, focus on one or two specific tools chosen based on the needs of the participants. For this format, follow the guidance for teaching individual tools in modules 1-4 and omit the introductory materials.

If the initial short session is to introduce TeamSTEPPS and lay the groundwork for subsequent short trainings on particular tools, then choose to use the introductory materials described above for a half-day training as the initial session. Alternatively, you may want to devote a mini-session to the teamwork exercise that focuses on specific tools you want your students to learn.
