- Perioperative use in selected surgeries
- Acute urinary retention or obstruction
- Hospice/comfort care/palliative care
- Accurate measurement of urinary output in critically ill patients
- Required strict immobilization for trauma or surgery
- Assistance in healing of severe perineal and sacral wounds in incontinent patients
