CLABSI and CAUTI Learning Tools
This step identifies two types of tools that can be revisited any time a central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI) or catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) occurs on your unit. They both support a thorough review of the event to identify and address the defect of the infection. The event reporting tools have a comprehensive list of questions specific to CLABSI and CAUTI. The Learning From Defects tool has a shortened list of questions that can be used at bedside with the care team.
